Bloomkidz is a nursery management platform. We built a web portal where nursery teams manage rooms, staff, attendance, registers, rotas and observations, and a Bloom Kidz mobile app where parents see their child's day - meals, nappy changes, sleep and activities - read the nursery news feed, chat with staff, and handle bookings, permissions and documents. Everything the nursery records in the portal appears in the parents' app.
The Challenge
- Nurseries were sharing a child's day with parents through paper diaries, phone calls and scattered messages
- Staff needed one place to run rooms, attendance, registers, staff rotas, absences and observations
- Parents wanted to know what their child ate, when they slept and what they did, without calling the nursery
- Announcements and reminders had to reach every parent quickly, with a way to reply
- Children's information had to stay private: only parents of that nursery could see it
Our Solution
- Bloomkidz web portal: an all-in-one nursery dashboard for rooms, staff, real-time attendance and registers, staff rotas, absences and observations
- Bloom Kidz parent app (Google Play), with access given by the nursery - parents cannot sign up on their own
- Daily activity timeline by date: meals (breakfast, lunch and what was eaten), nappy changes, wake up, sleep, registration and activities, each with a time
- News feed of nursery posts with likes and replies, so announcements and reminders reach every parent
- Chat with nursery staff and admins, with search, conversations and file attachments
- Child profile hub: Activity, About, Journey, Safeguarding, Child Permission, Booking, Documents, Family & Contacts and Book Extra Sessions
- Quick actions on each child: report Sick or Holiday, open Chat, and view the Collection PIN
- Push notifications for new updates, plus a quick-access PIN for fast and secure sign-in
